The Rules

Article 1: Organizer

The Paris Rollers Marathon is organized by “Save Ze Date”  in collaboration with FFRS.

 

Article 2: Competition

It’s a 42.195km roller skating competition for the Marathon, and a 21.1km  roller skating competition for the Half-Marathon.

 

Article 3: Goal

Your goal is to finish a marathon and become “FINISHER”.

 

Article 4: Where and when

The departure will be at 11:00 am and on the Jacques Rueff Place. It is in Sunday September, 20th, 2020.

 

Terms of participation

Article 5: Commitment

Any commitment is firm and final. It involves the complete acceptance of these rules.

 

Article 6: Ages

Participation in the Marathon have to be born before 2004.

Participation in the Half-Marathon have to be born before 2006.

These races are open to disabled people (blind, one-legged…).

There will be different departures :

  • Elite starting area: <1h25 for men & <1h35 for women: Documentary evidence of performance asked during the registration.
  • Sport/Leisure starting area: >1h25 for men & >1h35 for women.

For the Sport/Leisure people (>1h25 for men, >1h35 for women) there will be waves of departure every 3 minutes.

 

Article 7: Type of travel

The shift mode remains exclusively in-line skating or quad.

The practice of “nordic skating” or skateboarding is not allowed.

 

Article 8: Helmet and accessories

Helmet use is mandatory on the track during the entire course of the event.

Anyone without a helmet on the track will be immediatly disqualified.

Sunglasses or corrective glasses are authorized.

The use of radios and earphones is forbidden. No camera on the helmet. No perch.

 

Article 9: Timing & chip

Timing will be measured by electronic chips.

The chip must be positioned on the ankle (les than 50 cm from the ground)

 

​Article 10 : Limit

The limit is fixed to 3h30 for the marathon and 2h30 for the half marathon (it’s comfortable).

 

​Article 11 : Jury : Referees and complaints

The official jury is composed with a “referee” whose decision is final. He’s assisted by race judges appointed by the national race committee of the FFRS. In case of any dispute on the track of the settlement, only the race judges are entitled to give their opinions.

 

Article 12: Bibs

The bib must be worn on the back and hung legibly with a minimum of 4 pins.

The judges have the rights to temporarily stop anytime a competitor whose start number is incorrectly positioned or not readable at any time.

It’s prohibited to duplicate and bend its number. Remember to take safety pins (4) to attach the bib properly.

 

Article 13: Refreshments

The refreshment points with water will be settled on the track.

A provisioning of arrival (liquid and solid) will also be available at the finish line.

 

Article 14: Lockers

Near the starting point, there will be a place where participants will be able to leave their personal belongings. They will be looked after during the race. However, there will be no changing rooms.

The cost of the deposits will be 2€ by participant. We shall supply you with a bag in the withdrawal of number. Only bags supplied by the organization will be taken in the deposit.

 

Article 15: Modification / Neutralization/ Cancellation

In the event of force majeure, natural disasters, climatic conditions, health problems (ex: pandemic) or any other circumstance, including those which endanger the safety of competitors, the organiser may change the start or finish schedule, cancel or neutralise the race.

If the Event were to be cancelled for any reason beyond the control of the Organizer presenting the characters of force majeure as defined by Article 1218 of the Civil Code and by French jurisprudence, the latter may propose, depending on the circumstances, compensation such as the postponement of the Event or the reimbursement of the price of the race-bib less, where applicable, the costs of the application, excluding any other sum.

 

Article 16: Awards

The first 3 in each category are called to the podium.

  • Marathon – Woman 
  • Marathon – Man
  • Half Marathon – Woman 
  • Half Marathon – Man

No prize will be awarded in the absence of the person on the podium.

 

Categories & Prices

Article 17: The registration includes:

♦ Participation of the Paris Rollers Marathon or Half Marathon.

♦ The Village Rollers’ access and animations.

♦ The medal Finisher.

♦ Refreshments (liquid and solid).

♦ The medical aid.

♦ The bib & the electronic chip.

♦ The insurance.

 

Article 18: Categories

Categories are:

♦ Individual marathon Men : open to men born in 2004 or before (16 years).

♦ Individual marathon Women : open to women born in 2004 or before (16 years).

♦ Individual Half Marathon Men:  open to men born in 2006 or before (14 years).

♦ Individual Half Marathon Women:  open to men born in 2006 or before (14 years).

There will be no specific ranking for people with disabilities. People in a disabled situation can contribute in the categories quoted above, without distinction.

 

Article 19: Registrations

All registrations are made exclusively on our web site.

No registration received in paper mail will be handled.

No registration on the spot. September, 18th 2020 enclose registrations.

 

Article 20:  Rate

  1. 0-1000 : Marathon 60€ and half marathon 30€.
  2. 1001 till September 13th: Marathon 65€ and half marathon 33€.
  3. Till September 19th:  Marathon 75€ and half marathon  38€.

 

Article 21: Withdrawal of the bibs

Mandatory documents to provide:

1st Scenario: You have a foreign license

The french legislation obliges the participants to supply a medical certificate*. Your federal license will not be enough to be able to participate to the competition.

2nd Scenario: You have no license

You have to supply a medical certificate*

*Medical certificate dating from less than year and giving evidence of the absence of contraindication in the practice of competition of the roller-skating (code of the sport Article L231-2 and Article L231-2-1)

 

Article 22: Insurances

License holders are insured with their FFRS license.

The FFRS signed an insurance for the no FFRS licence holders; They can show a valid medical certificate to the organizers of the competition.

This insurance includes the civil guarantee liability and the compensation of the physical injury guarantee.

For further information, contact the FFRS.

Every person can take the “cancelling inssurance” which you have to pay for. If you can’t participate because you are injured, you will be reimbursed for you registration, minus transactions fees, the options you might have taken and the price of the cancelling insurance.

This cancellation insurance, once subscribed, is not refundable.

 

Article 23: Cancellation Warranty Injury

Each person has the possibility to subscribe to a “Cancellation Warranty Injury”. It allows everyone to cancel its subscription in the event of an injury for example.

This “Cancellation Warranty Injury” guaranties the refund of the full engagement, less the transaction fee, eventual options, and insurance fees.

Any application has to be send before 15th September.

This Cancellation Warranty Injury can not be refunded once it has been paid.

 

ARTICLE 24: images

By registering with the “Macif Paris Rollers Marathon”, you expressly authorize “Save Ze Date” and its successors (such as partners and media) to use or reproduce or have your name reproduced, your image, your voice and your sporting performance in connection with the sporting event for any direct or derivative use of the event and in any media, anywhere in the world, by any means know or unknow to today basis and for the entire period of protection currently granted to such direct or dirivative operations by the laws or rugulations, judicial and/or arbitral decisions of any country and by present or future international conventions, including extensions which could be made during the period.

 

ARTICLE 25: Sustainable Development

The Paris Rollers Marathon is committed in a sustainable development approach.

It’s forbidden to throw waste outside garbage.
